Amazon is offering hour-long tours for families to explore the 850,000-square-foot fulfillment center in Shakopee this summer.

The tour will showcase the robotics and technology that goes into the doorstep delivery of Amazon packages, according to a press release.

Amazon’s fulfillment centers have offered tours to hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, including students, elected officials, nonprofit organizations, and members of the public.

Tour guests must be 6 years old and up. Tours are hosted Monday through Friday, between January and October, at 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. To schedule a tour, visit www.amazon.com/fctours. Large group tours of up to 25 guests can also be scheduled by e-mailing tours@amazon.com.
