A white SUV fled the scene after striking an elderly woman in the Cub Foods parking lot in Shakopee around 1:30 p.m. Monday, according to Police Chief Jeff Tate. The driver was identified as a 19-year-old woman from Chaska.

The victim, whose name and age could not be provided, was alert and conscious when emergency personnel arrived, and she was transported to St. Francis Regional Medical Center.

“Anyone who may have seen anything, please let us know,” Tate said Monday.

It is not known at this time whether the victim is from Shakopee. Tate said she is still in the hospital.
