Dental kits dropped off at West Middle School

Patterson Companies out of St. Paul recently dropped off dental kits at Shakopee West Middle School. The kits were assembled by employees at Patterson for the nonprofit Adopt A Smile during Give to the Max week. This was an event to celebrate Adopt A Smile’s newest school partnership with Shakopee West Middle School, according to information submitted by a spokesperson to the Valley News. The school was running a three-chair clinic for middle school kids, some of whom had never seen a dentist in their life.

In the photo, those working on the project compile the dental kits. More than 2,500 kits were compiled.

Attendees included the Shakopee West Middle school principal, school nurses, Scott County public health officials and a few members from the city of Shakopee’s development department as well as representatives from Patterson and Adopt a Smile, the spokesperson said.
