The Shakopee High School Speech team has had a busy 2019 so far with its members competing in two meets in January.

Coach Katherine Wilson said last weekend's meet at Eden Prairie High School was "more good news" with several students placing individually and the team as a whole taking 12th out of 24 other schools.

  • Ella Harmeza and Amy Leivestad, 3rd Place Novice Duo

On Jan. 19, the students competed at Chanhassen High School, placing 14th out of 27 schools. The students placed individually as follows:
