SandVenture Aquatic Park is scheduled to open for the season on Monday at 11 a.m.
The sand-bottom, chlorinated pool features a 300-foot water slide, two 12-foot drop slides and a diving board.
The park is staffed by American Red Cross trained and certified lifeguards, and swimming lessons are offered through the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program throughout the summer.
On Fridays, infants and toddlers are welcome to splash in the pool and play in the sand from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. before the park opens to the public. Cost is $5 per child.
New this year are season pass discounts for active Shakopee Community Center members, individual passes costing $45 and family passes $120 for a family of four or more.
Daily admission is $5 for guests under 48”, seniors and military and $7 for guests taller than 48”. Children under two years old receive free admission.
