Veterans Day was Thursday of this week. It’s a federal holiday, but it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.

Many businesses don’t close for the day, most schools are still in session, and there are not a lot of big commemorative events to honor the people who served our country. It seems to be treated like a second-tier holiday, despite everything it stands for.
