Shakopee’s Destination Imagination team called "Organized Mess" took first place in state and traveled to the Global Final competition in Kansas City. They took 14th place in the world. Pretty amazing group of kids.

Destination Imagination is a volunteer-led, educational non-profit organization that teaches 21st century skills and STEM principles to kindergarten through university level students through collaborative problem-solving challenges.

The mission behind DI is to engage participants in project-based challenges that are designed to build confidence and develop extraordinary creativity, critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills. Check them out at Shakopee Community Ed.

Being able to attend the DI Global Finals was possible due in part to the generous donations from several sponsors in our community including Shutterfly, Seagate, Shakopee Rotary and an extremely generous donation from the Shakopee Jaycees. Please check out and support these organizations that support our youth.

Thank you to all the sponsors supporting our Shakopee youth!
