Some jobs come with mandatory overtime, whenever the need requires it. Shakopee Public Works employees fit this description.

The excessive rain this past week on top of huge piles of snow caused flooding in a number of Shakopee locations. Lakes were forming in the Pinewood/Eastway area, rapidly approaching our townhomes with walkout basements. City employees worked until 3 a.m. Friday, sandbagging the needed area, and then pumping away the excess water throughout the day.

On behalf of all members of the Pinewood Townhome Association, we wish to extend a special thank you to Dave Rutt and his crew who worked to prevent serious damage to our properties.
