Letter to editor stock photo - pen to paper

Dear Jerome, I read your letter in the local paper this week and could not believe what I was reading. You are making arguments that do not add up.

First of all the paper is not biased on this issue, the reason more people are not defending illegal immigrants is because it is not legal and supporters know that. There is no defense.

Second we have been supporting these people's countries for years with our tax dollars and not only are we billions of dollars in debt but these people are coming here no matter what we do for their countries financially or otherwise, with the promise of a better life in America.

Third, there is a system for these people to be here legally, unfortunately they do not care, until now because they have never been called out like this before.

And last but not least comparing this to the WWII Jewish community situation is almost laughable. You may want to go back and review your history. This is not about the extermination of a race. We fought to stop that madness. This is about being here legally. All are welcome here, that’s what our country is based on! But we also have laws to do it the right way.

And you are right just because it is a law does not make it right, but is still makes it illegal. So for now, just to appease you at a minimum, we will call them illegal people!
