May 6

MEDICAL: Dispatched at 2:48 p.m. for a medical emergency in the 1000 block of Country Side Drive.

May 8

CRASH: Dispatched at 11:59 a.m. for a car crash on the ramp from Highway 13 to Highway 169 North. A single vehicle had gone into the ditch and there were only minor injuries.

May 9

MEDICAL: Dispatched at 4:16 a.m. for a medical emergency in the 1000 block of Caspian Lane.

MEDICAL: Dispatched at 5:07 a.m. for a medical emergency in the 4000 block of Blakewood Drive.

May 10

CRASH: Dispatched at 4:53 p.m. for a car crash near the intersection of Highway 169 and Chestnut Boulevard. No injuries.

May 11

MEDICAL: Dispatched at 1:55 p.m. for a medical emergency in the 1000 block of Havenview Drive. SFD

May 12

MEDICAL: Dispatched at 2:42 a.m. for a medical emergency in the 1000 block of Sarazin Street.

CRASH: Dispatched at 4:21 p.m. for a car crash near the intersection of Highway 169 and Chestnut Boulevard and found no injuries.

May 20

CRASH: Dispatched at 5:35 a.m. for a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle in a cross walk at the intersection of Vierling Drive and Spencer Street. Provided patient care until Allina EMS arrived.

FIRE: Dispatched at 11:31 a.m. to assist Savage on a structure fire.

TRAILER FIRE: Dispatched at 8:47 p.m. for a trailer house fire in the 700 block of Fern Lane Terrace. Crews found a working fire in the kitchen and quickly extinguished it. After a search of the home it was confirmed that there were no people home, but unfortunately several pets were found deceased.

May 21

CRASH: Dispatched at 11:35 for a car crash at the intersection of Eagle Creek Boulevard and Mystic Lake Drive. There were no injuries and crews assisted with traffic control and scene cleanup.

May 22

CRASH: Dispatched at 3:24 p.m. for a car crash at the intersection of Independence Drive and 18th Avenue. There were only minor injuries.

May 25

CRASH: Dispatched at 8:50 a.m. for a motorcycle crash on the ramp from northbound Highway 169 to County Road 21. Provided patient care until Allina EMS arrived.

HOUSE FIRE: Dispatched at 6:45 p.m. for a house fire in the 1000 block of Polk Street. Crews found a working fire in the home’s laundry room which was beginning to extend into the rest of the home. Engine 4 and Mdewakanton Ladder 11 extinguished the fire and Ladder 1 completed the search of the home and began overhaul. Two people were treated by Allina EMS for smoke inhalation and unfortunately two cats were found deceased in the home.

May 29

CRASH: Dispatched at 5:49 p.m. for a three-car crash at the intersection of Marystown Road and 17th Avenue. Multiple people were treated for injuries by both SFD and Allina EMS.

May 30

CRASH: Dispatched at 2:32 p.m. for a car crash on Marschall Road above Highway 169. No injuries.

May 31

MEDICAL: Dispatched at 8:17 p.m. for a medical emergency in the 1000 block of Liberty Circle.

June 1

CRASH: Dispatched at 2:28 p.m. for a car crash at the intersection of Canterbury Road and 12th Avenue; minor injuries.

June 2

CAR FIRE: Dispatched at 7:23 p.m. for the report of a car fire on Eagle Creek Boulevard near Alysheba Road and found an SUV had a small smoldering fire in the trunk area. Engine 4 extinguished using a water can.

June 3

CRASH: Dispatched at 3:50 p.m. for a car crash at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Adams Street. One patient was treated by Allina EMS while crews cleared the scene of debris and blocked traffic.

STRUCTURE FIRE: Dispatched at 9:18 p.m. for a structure fire in the 1000 block of First Avenue. Officers arrived to find smoke showing from the front of the building. Initial attack crews encountered heavy smoke which caused limited to no visibility in the building, but a minimal amount of fire remained. The building was ventilated, and it was found that the building and its contents had extensive fire and smoke damage. The fire appeared to have fully developed, then ran out of oxygen and snuffed itself out prior to being reported. Mutual aid received from Savage, Prior Lake, Chaska, and Mdewakanton FD.

CRASH: Dispatched at 10:57 p.m. for a car crash on Highway 169 near Marschall Road. Savage firefighters responded to this call because all Shakopee units were deployed on a structure fire.

June 4

MEDICAL: Dispatched at 1:07 p.m. for a medical emergency in the 1000 block of Vierling Drive.

CRASH: Dispatched at 9:04 p.m. for a car crash at the intersection of 17th Avenue and Weston Court. One patient treated for minor injuries.

PEDESTRIAN HIT: Dispatched at 9:19 p.m. for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Marschall Road and Eagle Creek Boulevard. Crews assisted Allina EMS with patient care while Engine 3 blocked traffic.

June 5

CRASH: Dispatched at 8:48 a.m. for a car crash at the intersection of Mystic Lake Drive and Eagle Creek Boulevard. Two patients were treated by Allina EMS.

June 7

CRASH: Dispatched at 6:24 p.m. for a car crash at the intersection of Vierling Drive and Heather Street. No injuries.

June 8

STRUCTURE FIRE: Dispatched at 9:11 p.m. with Mdewakanton Fire for a reported structure fire in the 1000 block of Mystic Lake Drive. Officers found there were large compost piles burning but there was no fire in any structures. MDFD Ladder 11 and Engine 11 set up on the west side of the property while SFD Engine 4, Ladder 1, and Engine 3 set up on the south side of the property. SFD Engine 1 along with tankers from other agencies shuttled water to the scene. Two hydrants were available on site, but both were fed from a single private well which could not provide a sufficient volume of water. Crews deployed several handlines and worked to extinguish the fire while a large loader was used to break apart the burning compost piles.

June 10

CRASH: Dispatched at 5:18 a.m. for a car crash at the intersection of Highway 169 and Chestnut Boulevard. Engine 1 blocked traffic while Engines 3 and 4 extricated the driver and passenger of one of the vehicles. One patient was turned over to Allina EMS while the other was turned over to Mdewakanton EMS.

June 12

MEDICAL: Dispatched at 11:51 p.m. for a medical emergency in the 2000 block of Strunks Rd.

June 13

MEDICAL: Dispatched at 10:45 a.m. for a medical emergency in the 2000 block of County Road 79.

MOTORCYCLE CRASH: Dispatched at 2:42 p.m. for a motorcycle crash on Highway 169 near Old Brickyard Road. Crews provided patient care for the motorcycle rider until Allina EMS arrived and transported the patient.

DEM CON FIRE: Dispatched at 7:45 p.m. for a fire alarm at Dem Con Dr, shortly after dispatch updated saying the property had a fire in one of their sorting buildings and was working to extinguish it with their on site suppression system. Crews arrived to find a smoldering fire in a large trash pile inside of a trash sorting building. Crews deployed two handlines to extinguish the fire as a skid steer was used to spread the trash pile out.

June 14

MEDICAL: Dispatched at 8:24 a.m. for a medical emergency in the 800 block of Roundhouse Street. SFD

MULCH FIRE: Dispatched at 2:26 p.m. for mulch on fire in front of the 1000 block of Adams Street.

June 20 CRASH: Dispatched at 10:25 p.m. for a car crash at the intersection of County Road 42 and Dakota Parkway. Found a single vehicle had left the roadway and rolled onto its side. Crews extricated one patient and handed them off to Allina EMS.

June 21

MEDICAL: Dispatched at 1:41 p.m. for a medical emergency on Windermere Way.
